PrintOrgans On Demand is a Joint Venture collaboration between PrintBio and the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM), combining forces to develop 3D printed organs “on demand”.
We plan to leverage PrintBio’s FDA-allowed clinically tested 3D bioprinting platform with the foundational work in printing solid, vascularized organs, including liver and kidney, developed by Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM), to advance new innovative tools and technologies that are needed for success. PrintOrgans On Demand aims to provide “print-on-demand” organ replacement therapy.
Our initial focus will be on the further development of Aureo™, our 3D printed human ear implant for patients with Microtia, that is already in Phase I clinical trials, LIVE-r™, our 3D printed neo liver for patients with End Stage Liver Disease awaiting transplant, and KidneyOD™, our 3D printed neo kidney for patients with End Stage Renal Disease awaiting kidney transplant.
